Residents of Cloughan View came together for a successful community gardening and biodiversity event, enjoying an evening of learning and meeting new neighbours.

Hosted by Braidwater and led by horticultural expert Gareth Austin, the 45-minute outdoor session attracted residents of all ages, who gathered in the development’s green space to hear about practical gardening techniques and simple ways to support local wildlife.
The interactive demonstration covered everything from planting trees and shrubs correctly to improving soil health, watering and mulching, while also showcasing easy biodiversity measures such as choosing pollinator-friendly plants and creating habitats for birds and beneficial insects.
Beyond the gardening advice, the event provided a valuable opportunity for neighbours to meet one another, share gardening ideas and spend time together in a relaxed and welcoming setting, helping to strengthen the sense of community at Cloughan View.
The evening formed part of Braidwater’s ongoing commitment to enhancing biodiversity across its developments, encouraging residents to make small changes that collectively create greener, healthier places for both people and nature to thrive.

To round off the event, attendees were treated to a complimentary ice cream cone, providing a welcome surprise and a sweet ending to an enjoyable summer evening.
Speaking after the event, marketing manager Darren Farnan said:
