A new home, a milestone birthday, a romantic engagement and a wedding on the horizon, it’s been a whirlwind year for Korey and Marc, and at the heart of it all is their gorgeous new Braidwater home at Roe Wood.

Originally from Limavady and Claudy respectively, Korey and Marc met on a night out around six years ago, never imagining just how many wonderful milestones they would one day celebrate together.

With Marc previously working abroad in Holland, the couple were delighted to finally put down roots together, finding their perfect first home at Braidwater’s Roe Wood development.

Having viewed several resale properties, everything changed when they visited the Roe Wood show home opening one Sunday. After Lynsey from Bensons explained that their preferred plot was the only one available, they wasted no time, paying their deposit the very next day.

And what a decision it turned out to be!

This week marks one year since they received the keys to their beautiful turnkey home, and what an incredible twelve months they’ve enjoyed.

Korey celebrated her 30th birthday, Marc popped the question during a romantic trip to Ibiza in July, and the happy couple have already booked their wedding for September 2028 in the Roe Valley Resort.

For Korey and Marc, their new home has provided the perfect backdrop to every special moment.

“It’s honestly been such a whirlwind year. We’ve moved into our first home, celebrated my 30th, got engaged in Ibiza and now we’re planning our wedding! Sometimes we still have to pinch ourselves. Having our own beautiful home to come back to makes everything even more special.”

The couple have particularly loved the ease of moving into a turnkey property, with none of the stress or expense of renovating an older house. They’re equally impressed by how warm and energy-efficient their home is, with heating bills remaining remarkably low.

But perhaps the greatest joy is the independence of having somewhere that’s completely their own.

They’re also full of praise for the people who helped make their dream a reality.

“Lynsey from Bensons was brilliant and always there to answer our questions. Eamonn and the site team were fantastic too, especially when Marc was working away. Nothing was ever too much trouble. From getting our keys to settling in, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

For Braidwater, Korey and Marc’s story is a beautiful reminder that a home is so much more than bricks and mortar. It’s where life’s biggest chapters unfold, memories are made and futures begin.

And with a wedding still to come, there’s plenty more happiness ahead for this lovely couple.
