New Braidwater home owners Jesmi James and her husband Roshan are on the brink of an exciting new chapter in their lives.
With the impending arrival of their first child in January, Braidwater is proud to play a part in this significant milestone in their lives!

The lovely couple recently moved into their very first home together in Braidwater’s Beech Hill View in the city’s Drumahoe area – a dream home that resonates deeply as they prepare to welcome their little one.
Originally from India, Jesmi, who works at Altnagelvin Hospital, and Roshan, a self-employed professional, found a perfect sanctuary in Derry, a city they now plan to call home for years to come.
The journey to homeownership was not without its challenges, especially when unexpected issues arose.
Jesmi takes up the story, ‘At one point, before we looked at Beech Hill View, we weren’t sure if it would even be possible to buy a home.’
However, with the unwavering support of Ciara McCarron from Donnybrook estate agents, they found hope.
‘Ciara was fantastic,’ Jesmi recalls. ‘Then, at the last minute, a house in Beech Hill View came on the market. It felt like fate – and thankfully, Braidwater made it happen!’
Receiving the keys on August 8th and moving in just a week later filled the couple with excitement and anticipation.

‘Standing there with our keys was a moment of relief and pure joy!’ Jesmi reflects.
The happy couple were delighted with Kevin, the site foreman, and the entire Braidwater team, who made them feel welcome from day one.
‘Kevin and the team were so supportive. It really set the tone for our life here, especially as we prepare for our new arrival,’ added Jesmi.
Owning a home has been a lifelong dream for the young couple.
‘Having a space that’s truly ours feels incredible,’ she says, and ‘With our little one on the way, the timing couldn’t be better.’
The couple is excited to establish their roots in Beech Hill View, where the community aspect has already begun to flourish with several of Jesmi’s colleagues from the hospital living nearby.
‘It’s a popular area for a reason,’ she notes, adding that the five-minute drive to work is an invaluable perk.
The move has also brought unexpected benefits, such as manageable energy costs, which haven’t significantly increased despite the larger size of their new home.
As Jesmi and Roshan prepare to welcome their baby, they are incredibly grateful for a place to create lifelong memories, and she concluded: ‘It’s wonderful to know that our new home will be part of such a special time in our lives.’
Braidwater is delighted to contribute to this journey by providing the couple with a foundation for joy, family, and new beginnings, in their dream home.
