When Megan Cooke and Michael Ireland first set eyes on the ‘Bluebell’ house in Braidwater’s Roe Wood development, they knew they had found something special.

“We had been saving for our first home for a while,” says Megan. “When I saw a Facebook post about Roe Wood in 2023, I knew we had to check it out.”

The couple, who met over ten years ago at Limavady High School, had been living with their parents before deciding it was time to put down roots. Visiting the show home and speaking with the selling agent, Bensons, sealed the deal.

“As soon as we walked through the door, we just knew,” says Michael. “The location was perfect, the layout was exactly what we wanted, and we could instantly picture ourselves living there.”

Excited by the opportunity to personalise their home, Megan and Michael selected their own finishes and even opted for upgrades.

“The Braidwater visualiser was a massive help,” Megan explains. “It let us see exactly what our home would look like before it was even built.”

They wasted no time in securing their future home, putting down a deposit after meeting with John Duffy at Smart Mortgages.

“We didn’t need to think twice,” Michael adds. “Everything just felt right.”

Watching their home take shape from the ground up was an unforgettable experience.

“Seeing it go from an empty plot to a beautiful home was incredible,” says Megan. “It felt like something totally different and so exciting!”

The entire process was smoother than they expected.

“From start to finish, it was all so easy,” Michael says. “The Braidwater team, the selling agents, and Smart Mortgages guided us every step of the way.”

Now, a year later, they couldn’t be happier.

“The best part?” Megan smiles. “Our amazing neighbours, many of whom we went to school with. It really feels like home.”

Looking around their dream home, Megan and Michael know they made the right choice.

“This is our forever home,” Michael says proudly. “And we wouldn’t change a thing.”
